FAQ
What is Son Of Sven?
Son Of Sven is a watch brand that strives for high quality with a luxurious feel for a very acceptable price.
What movements do you use?
We only use automatic or manual movements. What this means is that an automatic movement is a mechanical movement that was first marketed in the early decades of the 20th century. It twists itself up when worn on the wrist, eliminating the need for daily twisting. However, if not worn for a while, the watch will stop and require manual winding.
How often do you have to wind up the movement?
If you use one of our automatic watches, it should not need to be wound up if you wear the watch every day. The watch's power reserve should be stated on the watch's product description, but in the most common cases it is between 24-72 hours. However, we recommend that you turn the clock between 7-15 revolutions every day to ensure that it does not stop. The manual ones should be turned on every day as they are not twisted up by movements.
Do you have your own clockwork?
At the time of writing, we do not have our own movement, but use movements that are known in the watch industry and have been tested for many years. More about which movement a watch has is on the watch's product page, but some of the movements we use are NH34, NH35, NH70, MIYOTA and SEAGULL. However, we are trying to create our own watch movment.
